About the author
Simon Polman (2000) grew up in Utrecht and has loved science fiction and fantasy from an early age. He’s drawn to stories that bring real-world issues, like climate, inequality, resistance to life in imaginative ways. Gaia’s Wrath: Echoes of the Mammoth Trees is his debut. Through his writing, Simon explores how creativity can shed new light on today’s challenges and inspire readers to see the world differently.

Gaia’s Wrath ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Dit is het debuut van Simon Polman en wat een binnenkomer! 🚀 Het was mijn allereerste sciencefictionboek – en ik heb er enorm van genoten. Vanaf de eerste bladzijden zat ik midden in de actie, en het voelde echt alsof ik een film aan het lezen was. 🎬 De scènes waren zo levendig dat ik alles voor me zag afspelen.

ARC – Exemplaar
Ook dit ARC-exemplaar heb ik ontvangen om een review over te schrijven. Hoewel sciencefiction normaal gesproken niet mijn meest gelezen genre is, besloot ik dit boek toch een kans te geven. Met zijn 144 pagina’s is het geen dik boek en daardoor ideaal als tussendoortje. De schrijfstijl is prettig en meeslepend, waardoor je al snel in de wereld van het boek gezogen wordt. Het personage Jade vond ik vooral erg leuk, zij gaf voor mij echt kleur aan het verhaal.

Het spannende verhaal, de interessante karakters en de dystopische setting maakt dat ik heteen heel fijn boek vond om te lezen! Ik hoop dat er nog meer boeken komen zodat er meer overdeze wereld bekend wordt. Ik geef dit boek 4 van de 5 sterren.
